Re: Direct-to-Digital list and other utilities (Error Tracker, Redemption Log)

One quick update to the database. M*A*S*H is NOT HDX. I just tried my blu ray and it only converts SD. I thought it could be an error, but I checked on the in store disc 2 digital and it is also only SD. A quick search on Vudu shows they only have it SD

Hrmmm, I thought I updated my scrubber but it must be checking only if DVDs or BluRays can be used (and using that for the SD/HD in the list I posted here in this thread.) Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.

          See the previous messages.

I was particularly delighted to finally redeem my Aliens special edition. Best alien movie ever.

Not yet, but I'm guessing anything coming this week will happen tonight or tomorrow morning.

Hey everyone. I got my dvd copy of True Lies so I decided to boot up Vudu to Go. Since I had a stack of blus sitting there waiting to go to walmart, I decided to throw in a few. Glad I did, I had enough to get 50% off!

                  Heres what I found:

                  Children of Men
                  Anchorman
                  The Dead
                  Snakes on a Plane
                  Vantage Point
                  A Perfect Getaway (Unrated)
                  9 (animated)
                  Deep Blue Sea
                  Repo Men

Now, with Repomen, it only let me redeem the theatrical, because it wouldn't read the Blu side of the disc. So I also had to pay $5. Is there any VUDU person listening that can put the Unrated in my locker? That would be awesome.

Also, my Aliens Special Edition is showing up as Alien. So that makes me sad. Also, Hills Have Eyes Unrated reads as Part 2 (theatrical), and Black Hawk Down reads as Striking Distance

Repomen blu ray reads as a different movie (don't remember which movie), so no one can help you there. You just have to go to Walmart if you are able to.

Really? I went through a bunch maybe 2 weeks ago and all of those got denied, its why they were in the walmart pile. But that's cool. Glad I retried them.

Repomen Blu-ray incorrectly identifies as "Pitch Black (Unrated) [Blu-ray]"

                            Disc-to-Digital DB:
I'll try to update this every couple of days. But the list "should" have all the current movies available for D2D. The Latest Updates tab will show the latest 100 or so updates I find. Right now, I've only found two new movies from over the last couple days of checking, this will fill out as I provide updates. (It's a big list, so even the mighty google might take a few seconds to deliver it.)

UltraViolet Redemption Log (HD or SD):
Same idea, I'd like to collect the results from the current thread, but I haven't added any items yet. Use the form to submit your personal findings and anyone can check the Results spreadsheet below...which I'll try to keep alphabetically organized.

                            vudu@Home - Disc-to-Digital Errors:
I'd like to see this replace/supplement the current thread as it'll be much easier to view a spreadsheet list than go page by page by page. (But I don't want it to kill off information for vudu devs, but I'm guessing their application keeps track of those.) If you have errors, please use the form to add it to the Results spreadsheet. If you find a movie that was fixed, please use the same form and just enter the movie title and the date when it was successful for you.

                            Pro tips:
                            • Use Google Chrome and Ctrl+F (Win) or Cmd + F (Mac) to find your movie on the spreadsheets. (Most browsers do this, but Chrome will give you an index and total count for your search. ie: 2 of 7.)
                            • Movies are stripped of prepended "The"s: "The Departed" will show as "Departed" for sorting sake. But "Lord of the Rings" will still display as "Lord of the Rings" (Thanks for pointing this out Grey Ghost)
                            • Speaking of LOTR, the titles in this doc are tied to the content id. Just as if you search vudu's form. But on vudu's form, you can click one of the items in the autocomplete field and it'll give you the detail view of the movie. So the LOTR movies have the same titles on my doc, but you can see there are two versions of each because of two different content ids...and the second ones are the Extended Editions.) You'll need to hit up vudu's form to resolve these fully for now.
                            • There are also some titles that use a foreign title but according to vudu's form, will still result in the US version. (A Knight's Tale is one, Matrix Reloaded is another. Matrix Reloaded shows up as "La Matrice Rechargee")

I can provide a public link to the google doc spreadsheet of the 6500+ D2D titles if people think it'd be useful. For now, if anyone wants it, please send me a PM and I'll add you to the list of editors/viewers. (This would be useful if you want to duplicate the spreadsheet in your google account and modify the data for your own needs.)

Blu ray or DVD? All the Underworlds and School Of Rock worked for me with DVD's.
