Re: Who's got the biggest VUDU (D2D, UV) library here?

I know this is probably not the right place to post this, but I felt that maybe this might help or get some feed back for me regarding Cinemanow.

Let me start by saying that Vudu is far superior to Cinemanow. Did anyone experience an issue with a huge library on Cinemanow ultraviolet?

I have 1792 and Cinemanow shows only 934 of my titles. They say that the reason is that I have reached my limit for library titles? Vudu will show all. So I wanted to ask if other members with big libraries are having or have had similiar issues.

Also this post is to let others know that if you have over 900 titles they won't show more that that and your new UV titles will not show according to their support team.

    So, long live VUDU!

If 900 titles is their limit then why do they show you 934, 34 over their limit?

They really need to get this problem fixed!

Re: Who's got the biggest VUDU (D2D, UV) library here?

Not much of a fan of CinemaNow, but my library currently reflects 957 in CinemaNow with no problems or issues in the Web based CinemaNow library. The most recent UV purchases are currently showing up, they were purchased yesterday when I was already over the 900 mark or 937 for that matter. The 957 figure is accurate, it is missing some of my UV titles that CinemaNow does not currently have UV licensing for, such as X-Men 2, but an accurate count for what they do have in their UV licensing, which corresponds to my UV locker.

Can't say the same for the Apple, Android, or set top CinemaNow apps. They reflect, depending on the app, from 1800 to more than 3000. This is due to duplicate UV listings & what I generously refer to as multiple "zombie copies" of all of the TV show episodes and some of the early UV listings (multiple is a kind representation, boatload would be a better representation). The "zombie copies" do not work/stream, they just take up a lot of real estate.

I think that the poster got someone in customer service that did not have an answer, so this one was handy. My experience with CinemaNow customer service has been, an epic failure, on each & every contact.

It is for this reason that VUDU really reigns, so far the customer service has been excellent with VUDU.

I agree completely, I have had excellent results from Vudu customer service and terrible results (for the most part) on CinemaNow. Don't know how they stay in business?

The excuse I got was they don't have UV rights to certain movies. It's plain and simple, Vudu is the only UV streaming provider that knows what they're doing and can handle large collections properly. Even Ultraviolet can't handle large collections. Amazon and Apple are on par with Vudu but they are not Ultraviolet.

...nor do they let me jack my numbers up from a 1080p upgrade to my DVD collection for $5 per title.

              I love Vudu.

              I have a big `ol techno-crush on `em.

I also love Vudu, it's great having all your movies in one place. And for the handicapped it's a big help. We can watch a movie anytime we want.
At around 1200 as of now I feel like a piker, though, compared to some of you. But as they add titles to the D2D system it's not hard to keep building.
As more and more Studio's join the bandwagon it seems it can only get better and better.

I agree. VUDU does rock and I told Cinemanow that exactly. They wanted me to start a new UV account just for them and inconvenience ,myself by logging out and in every time I would like to watch one of their movies. NO GO! I told them find another solution and they said ok...we will escalate your problem to our LEVEL 2 team...how much farther can you go? What a joke.

With all of our collections getting this large, VUDU really needs to invest in a better filter under my collection. To allow only sorting is just not cutting it. Need to be able to filter down movies by Actor, Director, Letter of the alphabet, Explicit Year, Explicit Rating, etc... A search field would also work if it could filter it by Search Term.

This is really a common sense feature that needs to get some attention.

The "Search" box is already there. It just needs a check mark for excluding titles I do not own.

Right now, if I type in Harry Potter, it gives me all of them, even if I only own three. Still handy if I am looking for one of my titles and don't feel like scrolling, but the peck typing from a remote is kinda of a pain. I just fast scroll mine. Works pretty good for me.

I think a view option to allow movies in list format vs. the current movie cover wall, would make scrolling a lot faster. Also allowing the creation of a custom playlist (much like vudu does with a digital collection), would help in organizing the My Movies library.. Anyway hopefully these are part of the new beta..

Today I have joined the 1,000 Movie Club. My family thinks I'm crazy, but I feel pretty good about reaching this milestone and I know that many on here will understand.
