I'm only at 535 and that includes the SD freebies. I so far have managed to almost entirely avoid supporting SD and non-UV movies. I'm pretty sure that I have not purchased any digital versions without UV.

As someone who's owned VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, and Blu-ray movies going completely digital is somewhat disconcerting. With UV, it seems a bit more palatable and less risk.

It was for me too. I never felt justified pulling the trigger on the digital library with iTunes or Amazon. I considered both, long and hard, but knowing technology I could not do so in good faith when such a large investment of the family's money would be tied to a single technology company.

Vudu sealed the deal for me with two things. Adoption of a vendor agnostic digital rights locker system and the D2D program. Those made it too good an offer to wait any longer from my perspective.

Also, I am like you. If I am taking the effort to build an entertainment library for me and my family to enjoy for the next decade+, I am going to future proof it as much as possible by only adding 1080p copies.

Well guess I'd be a happy camper if the 50% promo should end next week though it would be sad to see it go, but because of it I've been able to now get over the 3000 movie mark and have quite the collection built up.....3045 movies as of today 1/24/2014, here at 2:47 AM in the morning.....of course I got a ton of TV series stuff to I lose track of....

"Horders" digital edition.. Thanks all of you making feel less bad about my problem as when my partner complains I can point at you guys and say "See I've not bought that many movies!"

nganiere - If you started watching these for 12 hours a day, doing nothing else, it would take you over a year to get through them all, and that's assuming you didn't buy anything else... Oh, and you could have probably paid for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime for the next 20 years.

Um, I have no idea if this is a lot, especially if someone here really has over 3,000 OWNED Movies digitally, that is quite a bit. I thought my collection compared to everyone that has a Screen Shot of their collection. I cannot figure out how to do a screen shot, but how about this, click it and it will show you my current collection, I do NOT know if the link will auto update, but it does show my Digital Collection on Vudu.

meerupps, unfortunately that link just takes any one to their personal Vudu page. So the only way for us to see what your count would be from that link is if we were signed into your account and you don't want that.

I show 1482 titles currently, with another 111 titles planned for the next D2D batch. I don't foresee ever getting up to 3000; but if I do it won't be much much more than that . . .
