The reason I've never taken any discs to walmart is because it's a hassle. I'd rather have this work here, I have enough movies to take advantage of the discount.

The movies I've tried so far were Shrek, Kick-*** and The Dark Crystal.
Installing the Intel? Rapid Storage Technology RAID Driver fixed this problem for me. I read that you need this driver on one of the other forums and I installed it. Now everything works fine!

      Re: Error reading DVD disc.

      Just a heads up,
I am having problems doing disc to digital conversion for the following movies.

Warrior(DVD included in the Blu-Ray Combo pack).
      The Quest(1996 DVD/Universal Studios)
She Done Him Wrong(Universal Cinema Classics Collection).

Each of them ask me to ID the disc, but that's it.

I am new to this forum. I have converted a few dozen DVD's to UV, but today I got a strange message that "there was an error reading disc [J:\]. I closed the app and reopened it and was able to add movies to my cart. I have 8 in there now, but I tried to convert a 2 sided disc and since then the message has been constant. I have an older computer, so I do not have IRST, but what may be causing the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing. It's a known bug. This thread was originally about a different error that was based on the user's computer. It's kinda spiraled into a hodgepodge of different read errors. Your error is common and unfortunately Vudu has never really given an answer as to why so many double sided disc give errors. It's nothing you are doing though since it happens to all of us.

I called customer support about another issue. While I was on the phone, I asked the tech about these error messages.
He told me that the program was in beta and full bugs. He also told me that this is the reason they are giving the 50 percent discount. I was told that when the bugs were fixed and and the software is working properly, the discount will be gone.

I have read this thread, and this is Feb 2019, and I have the problem so widely described with DVD conversion. I even bundled several of my DVDs and made the trek to Walmart, where they told me they no longer do the conversion. What must a guy do to convert DVDs on Vudu to digital?

Very frustrating, to say the least.

Thank you for posting this, I had the same problem this past February. I gave up. I haven't done any d2d since i first started. I ended up using up all my 100 alotted Md2d . I would like to get regular d2d to work since I have a sizable collection to get through still.
in may try to reinstall the app.
I am also considering an external blue ray drive since I only have DVD currently.
