Fast Forward and Rewind work on YouTube only if you are in fullscreen mode.

I would like the capability to add subtitles in English even on English language movies, and to disable subtitles on some of the foreign movies. Nothing more irritating than being forced to see English sub when watching a movie in your own language.

-Add 'HDX' to the list of available search parameters in the 'Explore by Genre' function.

-Rename 'Explore by Genre' to 'Detailed Search' or 'Explore by Type'

Is Windows Media Extender under Vudu Labs do-able at some point?

I too wish we have a DLNA application in VUDU Labs. Only time will tell what additional applications VUDU will put up there.

Not really possible. The subtitles in foreign language films are actually part of the video file itself. This is the way Vudu gets it from the studios.

It's different than on a DVD where subtitling is done as a completely different encode on the disc. Right now, this sort of thing is not possible with any VOD service that I know of. Search for captioning or captions on the forum here and you'll see we've discussed this quite a lot over the last 18 or so months.

                  Pricing structure...

I'm sure this must have been brought up before but, as I'm a relatively new user, I haven't noticed any posted comments concerning the Vudu "pay as you go" model vs. the netflix "one monthly payment" model. I for one would love to have the option to pay a monthly fee for unlimited movies....not sure how this would work exactly with the various quality options (HDX, HD and SD) but my friend has an XBox with Netflix and I have to say I'm a bit envious of the payment plan. I still prefer Vudu's quality level and thier download delivery system for sure but does anyone know if this has been discussed and if it will ever be given as an option?

You can't really compare VUDU's and NetFlix's VOD plans until you look at the catalog of VOD titles along with the quality of the content. At this time VUDU is not a subscirption service.

Here is a thread that went over most of the issues with subscrption:

While it would be nice, the best VUDU might do are discounted monthly baskets (e.g. X HD/HDX titles + Y SD titles for $xx.xx/mo).

The reason Netflix can offer streaming for free is because they pay very small royalties/fees due to, ahem, quality of their catalog. There's a widespread believe that to get top content, Netflix would have to charge more.

Anyway, I think the solution that many new users are finding to be most optimal is VUDU for best quality, new releases, and deep movie catalog + 1-out or 2-out Netflix plans w/ a streaming device for a wide selection of TV shows and Starz content (360, TiVo, Roku, Blu-Ray player, etc.).

Please give us the ability to purchase an entire season of TV programs with a single click instead of having to buy individual episodes.

                        Thanks

"Community Rating" as a sorting option

You already have "Critic Rating", which is nice; but since Critic Rating and Community Rating are both flashed alternately on the preview screen, it makes sense that they would both be sorting options.

(Not sure what "Top Picks" means).

BTW, where does the Critic Rating come from?

                              Thanks,

Top Picks I think are movies that are chosen most often.

I'd imagine they get the critic rating from the same source of all their other movie metadata.

                                I like your idea though...
