Can you please power-cycle your TV to see if this clears things up for you. Let us know if this behavior continues.
That seems to have helped for now. I also purchased a Chromecast Ultra and luckily Vudu UHD works perfectly with that. I'll post again if anything changes.

      Hello,

Now that Vudu is an app on AppleTV, does the Apple TV 4k model support Vudu 4k Playback with or without Atmos?

      Thank you.

      -Walter

I think the VUDU Apple TV Apple is is capped at 1080p until VUDU upgrades it. ( hopefully soon). Also Dolby Atmos is not supported by Apple at the moment but they have actually stated that they will in the future(i'm thinking next year) unless they surprise us.

Looks like others have been able to use the VUDU app on their LG UH658500 TV to play the UHD versions of their movies. When I view my UHD titles it shows that "You own UHD" but when I play a title that I own in UHD and go the play settings at the bottom of the screen it only shows the options to play in SD or HDX.

The VUDU app Playback Quality settings in the main settings area of the app only show the SD and HDX options as well.

I have restarted the TV and also uninstalled and reinstalled the VUDU app.

My TV has the latest firmware and the TV says that the VUDU app is up-to-date (Vudu Client Version 3.1.0 (rev 139126))

Anyone have any idea what's going on or what I could do?

Are the 2017 Vizio P and M Series compatible with 4K + HDR? Only the 2016 ones are listed to have HDR.

Woohoo!!! Finally HDR10 from Vudu! I'm seeing HDR from Vudu with my Roku!! Which is only HDR10 capable.

only some uhd titles though. But at least that is a start.

I see there are over twenty five titles with HDR10 right now!

Anyone know how to get the HDR10 to activate? I see the HDR logo on my movie selection screen, but it is greyed out. I have a projector only capable of doing HDR up to 30Hz and my Roku Premiere+ is setup to output that, if it sees it. I'm starting to wonder if Vudu will only output HDR10 at 60Hz, which my projector is not capable of receiving. That would be a real bummer!

I am not sure about projectors but on both my LG OLED and Samsung TV I had to go into the HDMI settings and turn on HDMI UHD Color in order for it to accept HDR.

What's the deal with the Sony Vudu App?

Have a Z9D with android tv, expecting a dolby vision update within the next month - Any chance this unit will be getting a Vudu update to run Dolby Vision when it becomes available or at the very least HDR 10 like the nVidia shield?

I just bought a Samsung Blu-ray Disc Player UBD-M9500 because it was added to your list of 4k plus HDR playback. But, it will not play movies in HDR. What is going on?

The Vudu app on my 2016 Samsaung KS8000 was just updated to widget version 6.1.18 (19802). I also have the latest firmware for my TV installed. When I played the UHD version of Wonder Women or Batman v. Superman, a banner across the top of the TV was displayed with logos for UHD, HDR, and ATMOS, yet the movie is not activating HDR10 on my TV.

I also noticed the first post was edited a couple of days ago and the 2016 KS TVs are still listed as not being able to process HDR10 with the Vudu app. So I want to confirm that the app on my TV cannot playback in HDR10, regardless of what the notification banner states.

It's one thing that the app isn't yet Dolby Vision capable, but it won't even allow for the HDR10 playback either. Very disappointing. Customers shouldn't have to buy streaming devices to get a better version of the Vudu app!!
