Just checked and you're right, wondering if they're going to change the prices in order to buy time they need, so they can finalize and make an announcement

They dont. So far the only i see like this is Wonder Woman. I checked other warner brothers and they still have the multi tier, but yes this is a step in the right direction imo.

I wonder. Did anyone own wonder woman in HDX? Did it automatically get upgraded to UHD after they changed the tier pricing on the title?

There should really only be one Digital version and you just get whatever the best quality available for playback is.
If you do Disc + Digital or buy an instawatch title you can use the code in the package for iTunes and still get both. I have done that for awhile.

All I know was I bought it in UHD and for over the $19.99 price.

No returns. No price protection. No price matching.

Try calling and asking for a refund so you can repurchase it in UHD.

                    VUDU is already reacting

                    https://www.vudu.com/movies/#!conten...41/Baby-Driver

20 bucks for UHD. Also, Sony finally has a UHD title on VUDU. Hopefully Fox follows soon.

Right now with Baby Driver the big thing to also notice is that the SD and HDX price are the same - $14.99.

It looks like Vudu may be wisely moving to a sales model where UHD is priced at the old HDX level, and the HDX price will replace the old SD purchase price. I would hope to imagine that the SD Purchase option on movies will begin to dissappear, and SD will only be available as a playback option.

With today's 4k TVs going into every household, why would you as a company want to let consumers play SD streams on them when you are touting 'Best Picture, Best Sound' in marketing for your VOD service? And the subscription services are always only playing the highest quality available - including 4k.

I can also hope in the near future all SD Licenses will be auto upgraded to HDX (Where there is a HD version of the film available) to ensure all streams are of excellent quality, internet speed permitting of course.

And maybe if all my dreams come true, Vudu will insist to the studios that they also get the same privileges as Apple, and upgrade all the HDX purchases to UHD where available.

Then, in theory with 4k titles you can ditch the HDX sales level (and SD), and have only UHD. And then when you are buying the title digitally, you own it perpetually at full quality and not just at a particular quality level.

Lead the way and make it so Vudu!

oh and one more thing, I saw folks are praising Apple for their support of HDR10, which is fine.

It has been revealed on these forums , I think by Jake @ Vudu that they have had HDR10 in the works for some time,. Heck, if you can implement Dolby Vision so well, they sure can handle the simpler HDR10.

They just haven't released that feature yet. And I'm pretty sure Jake and company can't tell us why, but if I were to guess I'd way it was some kind of exclusive deal with Dolby with a time window. When that window ends, they can roll out the feature, and all the HDR10 only studios can quickly upgrade their streams.

It is just a matter of when that release will happen...

UHD seems to be a miss for Vudu. I stumbled onto this thread trying to figure out why I cant find the pre-order for Spiderman Homecoming in UHD (kinda like I could find Guardians2 until the night before release). Here now I see Baby Driver was offered at a great UHD price, but when I bought it last Tuesday I was only presented with SD or HDX purchase
                              options.

Homecoming is on sale preorder with iTunes for $19.99. Cant even find it on Vudu, only SD/HDX. Dont want to get Baby Drivered again.

                              Theres a problem here.
