Understood, it's frustrating to everyone involved. We are working with LG to investigate this issue and are getting closer to tracking it down. While the eventual fix may require an LG firmware update (likely related to the higher quality/bitrate Dolby Vision and Atmos that Vudu streams), we are also investigating shorter term app workarounds, but do not yet have an ETA.

And as to other comments about posts being deleted or closed: to my knowledge Vudu mods never delete posts with informative comments or constructive criticism/complaints, but may if they are rude or derogatory to other users or Vudu. Please be civil, and again understand we are working hard to resolve these issues (but will not be able to respond to the same questions if there is no new information).

Thank you, Jake. I appreciate the update and I'm glad to know this is still being investigated.

Jake, while there isn't a answer provided, assurances that it's still being worked helps. Going a couple weeks in the dark is no good. If you could commit to regular updates, that will go a long way to lessening the feelings of abandonment on this issue... at least for me. Being a tech guy, I understand things "break" with new code or firmware updates. I've had a lifetime of that. Communication is key in those scenarios though.

Thank you for your time and help!

Substantial is great but even something to ping that says "Yup, still workin g on it.. getting closer... etc". Like I said, visibility is paramount in an outage situation.

FelipeF Do you still need data/reports of details if we are experiencing this? I say you asking for more info several months back but I assume you don't need new info since it is a "known" issue being worked on. I have a Samsung MU8000 4K TV that is experiencing the things reported in this forum thread so I wanted to check.

              Thanks!

At this point I think we have enough info from users about this issue. We continue to work with LG to get this resolved ASAP.

It?s not just LG. My Samsung smart tv is doing this too. I can browse what?s new to own and rent, but cannot make any purchases and when I go to my vudu, the page is a blank, blue screen. I own almost 300 movies and cannot access a single one.

Welcome to the club. It?s been this way since November. The app on my LG tv just started working again, without any update this weekend. Worked for about 5 days and now I can?t access any movies. I can see the titles, but no option to play any of them.

I have been experiencing this exact problem on our LG TVs and an IPhone. I could watch from our computers and a galaxy s6 edge without any problems. On each device that it didn?t work, the app would load but none of the main screen movie lists would show up, just a blank background. However, I could browse my previously purchased movies but they still wouldn?t play. I was able to solve this by changing the Adblocking settings on my Linksys WRT1900ACv2 router running dd-wrt V3.0-r34929. I simply disabled this feature, saved the settings, and reboot the router. After doing that, every device is happily streaming away.

FelipeF I saw where LG has put out an update to fix the UHD audio issues, but has there been any word about the fix that will allow everyone in this forum to actually use the app on our TVs?

Just figured I?d bump this for visibility. 4 months and still no fix is kind of ridiculous. I just want to be able to watch the content that I paid for, but I guess that?s too much to ask from Vudu.

I am having he same issue with my 2017 Samsung smart TV VUDU app...worked great for a while, then started doing what you all are describing on the LG sets. Suddenly for a week it started working perfectly again but alas it didn't last, for the last week it has again not been working correctly (blank screens, movies that don't load). I checked and the app version has stayed the same so nothing changed due to an update and the TV's firmware also has not changed as I have updates turned off so to me this is something on VUDU's end, possibly their servers?

Jake any word on a fix for this issue? I?ve had a third ticket opened, without a single response, since February...they keep closing it without answering. I opened the first ticket in December. I just want to use my Vudu app on my tv and watch the content that I PAID for.
