Apparently DMA updated the version in everyone's accounts. No problem since all my connected accounts now had both versions.

In November 2016, vudu must have changed the way DMA titles are handled and I lost the special edition version.

vudu is the ONLY provider that lost the special edition version, all the other providers connected to my DMA account kept both versions.

I contacted DMA and basically was told that the title was updated, but I should contact vudu about it.

So I wait and hope someone gets to my support ticket
I'm looking into it, will let you know what I find out.

Glad to keep arguing if you wish. It is NOT the case. Best Buy, Fry's Electronics, Target and Walmart have FOUR bluray editions for Beauty and the Beast including a little story book case presentation.

NONE of those qualify for the VUDU able copy.

Out of ALL the versions of Beauty and the Beast ONE obviously does. That one has a particular UPC code.

Can say same thing about Saving Private Ryan. Several others as well.

So do you to argue about whose right or actually be helpful and provide the qualifying version and the associated UPC code? Cause at this point looks like I have to order it as no local source has the "right" one. It would be nice to have the correct version's UPC code as I do.

If the recent release of Beauty and the Beast (Disney) says it includes digital copy then it will redeem on Vudu. It's is pretty straight forward. No 2 ways about it. Not sure why you are having problems. The Bluray packaging usually does not say redeems on Vudu, but it will. Did you actually buy all 4 of those versions and try to redeem. If so you are doing something wrong, but hard to say what because you are not providing enough info.

Re: Beauty and the Beast Disney 1991

STILL looking for an update or any info from Vudu on this..? Are we getting our Special Edition copy back that we owned before Vudu decided years later to just remove from our accounts and replace them with the 1991 edition?

If not then is this the type of thing we should be worried about any directors cut or special edition film we own on vudu that at any moment we might loose them without explanation?

Here is a screen shot of when I got the special edition in 2014, then 2 years later in 2016 when they added the 1991 version and I thought, cool now I have both options on Vudu like I have on DMA...Then without warning, they removed my Special edition .

Hello, The movie Beauty and the Beast Special Edition (animated version) is also missing from my collection. I have the Beauty and the Beast (1991) original animated version and the Beauty and the Beast live action version. The 'Special Edition' was listed before and for some reason it has disappeared. Please fix this as soon as possible and thank you in advance.

I called Disney months ago, and they got back to me on this. Rather than being a standalone title anymore, Beauty and the Beast Special Edition is now part of the new version's bonus features; but it doesn't seem to be accessible via Vudu, and I don't see it in iTunes either. However, it is accessible via my DMA account in a web browser, and I assume via the DMA app as well (it's under "Etc", along with a couple of other full-length versions).

Yes, exactly... But originally we did have it in Vudu until they created a new listing with the 1991 version and switched us over to that and removed the special edition from our accounts. It is still in Vudu via the link. I didn't re-buy it at the time because I'm supposed to already own it. They just must have messed up somewhere.

Disney say it's a Vudu issue and we must ask them. Like you say, on DMA there is no separation, its all under one title, but Vudu separated them for some reason.
