I just redeemed a code for The Lorax, and thanks to this thread, I did it through the Universal website and chose UV rather than Vudu, and now I have an HDX copy on Vudu! (I also got a $14.99 credit on Amazon Instant Video rather than the movie itself, which I think I'm going to use for something else.)

It won't work on anything else. It's been tested a d the amazon codes only work for the movie they came from.

Scream 4 was added to UV now. I had the code from Vudu and it redeemed as SD According to UVVU it was just added today. I redeemed it about a month ago. It was from a Blu Ray at Walmart. Also just noticed that This Means War was added a couple days ago (27th). Also SD for me.

The studios should allow us to choose what version we want when redeeming. Some people have kids on their UV account so I understand the rated version being available but some us have adults only the uv account.

Vudu should let us have both versions of the movie.

UV is most of time only available on the theatrical version with some exceptions (like LOTR Extended Editions). On Flixster redemption pages, it tells you on the page whether or not it is the theatrical version. Don't remember if any of the others do offhand.

Really wish there was a confirmation screen when redeeming UV movies that would tell you what the quality was and what version of the movie it was before completing the transaction.

Thanks madmod...I couldn't even find my Amazon Video credit balance, and I might not buy/rent a movie or episode from them for months, so I went ahead and bought The Lorax. Next time maybe I'll try testing it again, though. You never know, sometimes these things get changed and no one notices!

Anyone able to redeem the UV code for "A Christmas Story 2"? I tried here on Vudu and I keep getting an error message that my code is invalid. It's not. I got it right out of a brand new blu-ray. (Don't slap me for buying it -->)

I went over to Flixster to try and redeem it and again...it's not redeeming.

Curious to know if anyone has been successful.

Enough of us here have kids that no one should judge any content that is mentioned. I think we can agree to keep all technical Vudu/UV questions content-agnostic.

Someone said on here i believe that the Amazon credit can only be used for that movie and you get an error if you use for something else. Can someone confirm this?
