Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

    I discovered these today:

THE END OF THE AFFAIR (starring Ralph Fiennes) DVD (UPC: 043396047457) - This title is on the D2D list to upgrade to HDX, but when you put this DVD in, it comes up mistakenly as the original film (not this remake) and is only SD.

EMPIRE RECORDS [REMIX! SPECIAL FAN EDITION] DVD (UPC: 085392322220) - This is the extended 107 minute version of the film, and it is listed on the D2D list. When you put it in to convert, it only comes up as the original 90 minute theatrical version.

There are still a few titles I'm wet for..

        Superman 1,2,3
        Batman (1989)
        Dark Knight Rises
        BTTF Trilogy
        Total Recall (1990)
        Terminator 1 & 2
        Wrath of Khan
        True Lies
        MGM Support

I know some of these aren't available yet, just thought I'd add my 2 cents..

So far I've had a ball with D2D, the app works like a treat.. keep up the good work guys.

I converted my 'Batman Begins' t HDX but the sound is not right ... the center channel isn't being properly being utilized.

Anyone else have an issue with 'Batman Begins?'

I am using a Pioneer 7.1 receiver ... hooked up via HDMI 1.3.

My other titles sound terrific ... it's only 'Batman Begins' that is giving me issues.

We'll test this movie out today to see if we're able to reproduce.

Love the new service, I hated going to Walmart!!! Keep up the great work Vudu Team!

I converted 8 titles and I only had a problem with one of them. My Blu Ray of The Young Victoria said I would be getting an HDX copy for $2.00. However, when I checked in my Vudu list I got SD and it's giving me the option of paying $13.99 for HDX.

I read in another thread that this happened to someone else with a different title so I checked the link; http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html and it says that HDX is available. Why didn't I get it?

Hopefully this can be fixed. Please let me know what to do.

I updated the software and was able to finally do the other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies since it no longer detected all of them as the same one. Another movie I have, An Evening with Kevin Smith, wasn't quite so lucky. Still get an error that it isn't able to read the disc and then says it's in manual verification. So far, I've gotten nothing back from Vudu staff though I submitted that issue over 2 weeks ago. I'm sure they're inundated with bug reports (it is beta after all) but it's a bit maddening to have to wait for it and my time to go to Walmart is practically none since I'm getting married tomorrow. Anyway, guess I'll just either have to wait and go during my honeymoon or hope a staffer actually has time to get back to me.
