Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I have a couple that didn't work. All of them said, "This disc is not eligible for Disc to Digital, please insert another disc or try again later."

    Insidious (Blu-ray 2010)
    Deep Blue Sea (Blu-ray 1999)
    Ghost Ship (Blu-ray 2002)

Says Risky Business is not eligible when I put the bluray in.

It's been in my wishlist for ages and never gets made UV. If it was in the search engine is was a mistake and that's why it was removed.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

As predicted I went on a conversion spree last night and managed to add quite a bit more to my VUDU/UV locker and I'm quite pleased. I used the D2D@H (beta) software (running in Windows 8 in Parallels 8 on my MacBook Air, using an external Samsung Blu Ray) and it worked pretty well. There were, however, issues with quite a few disks:

The following titles appear as "eligible" on the D2D website search, but the "@ Home" (beta) software reported them as ineligible:
          Airplane! - Blu Ray
Anchorman: Legend of Ron Burgundy - Blu Ray (however, only the DVD is listed in the website search for this one)
Beverly Hills Cop - Blu Ray
          Big - Blu Ray
          Chinatown - Blu Ray
Coming to America - Blu Ray
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Blu Ray
          Face/Off - Blu Ray
Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Blu Ray
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Blu Ray
Field of Dreams - Blu Ray
          Fletch - Blu Ray
          Ghost - Blu Ray
          Heat - Blu Ray
          Lolita - Blu Ray
          Meatballs - Blu Ray
National Lampoon's Animal House - Blu Ray
National Lampoon's Vacation - Blu Ray
North By Northwest - Blu Ray
          Notorious - Blu Ray
          Taxi Driver - Blu Ray
The Big Lebowski - Blu Ray
The Neverending Story - Blu Ray
          Three Amigos! - Blu Ray

The software said these disks couldn't be identified:
          Bad Teacher - Blu Ray
          Groundhog Day - DVD

Shows up as different disk: (pretty sure I saw someone else report this same issue)
2001 (Blu Ray) shows as Barry Lyndon

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

Legend of Zorro now available in HDX D2D upgraded from SD, but blu-ray disc reads as Mask of Zorro when using vudu at home. Guess I will have to go into the store to get it done.

Is the database down right now?

I'm trying various discs, such as Walk The Line (DVD), Rumor Has It (DVD), and Lincoln Lawyer (Blu), and all are coming up with "There was an error verifying this disc, please try again later or contact customer care."

I'm getting the same message. I hope this means VUDU is updating the database.

I'm getting the error message as well.

I think sporadic outages are going to be unavoidable while the software is in beta.

Just tried reading the same discs and the program was able to communicate with the server.

However this movie is available for Disc to Digital. What makes matters worse is this message doesn't offer a way to submit the disc for manual verification.

Jumper Blu-ray [Special Edition] comes up as Live Free or Die Hard. How long until it's fixed?

At a minimum, expect it to take months if it's corrected at all.

Terrible, why don't they let us input the title instantly to correct it? I did click the option to alert them that the disc is not correct. I can't believe it takes so long, oh well. At least I got all but two. Troy Director's Cut came up as Theatrical.

I'm becoming more disappointed too. New releases are listed in the D2D list of eligible titles but when you insert the disc it doesn't recognize the disc. Still waiting over a month on a lot of recently released titles. Others now come up as not eligible when they're clearly on the D2D list of eligible titles. What's worse is you can't even report that there's an error on those titles.

At least half, if not more, of the titles I've tried have some sort of error. It's just getting old to continuously check those discs since it takes a lot of time to do so. It would be better if Vudu would notify you when new titles are added or corrected but since the app is still in beta Vudu is just fine with not doing that.

It is disappointing, just found another 2001 A Space Odyssey BD comes up as Barry Lyndon. And it recognizes disc three The God Father III as The Godfather -.- This is truly a pain, I just got a new BD drive specifically to convert my BDs and so far 22 don't work.
