Re: Disc to Digital Title List

Thinking about going to WalMart today to do a few titles. Do we have to carry the blu ray case? I was thinking about using a disc folder. I don't really want to chance the alarm going off on me today. I've had that happen with some of the Amazon movies in the past.

I've never taken the cases. Just the discs on a spindle. Sometimes they don't even look at those.

        You only need the disc.

Thank you. I submitted a support request with the original DC codes from the Ultimate Trilogy and Universal exchanged them for UV codes.

I noticed The Savages, starring the late PS Hoffman, is now a D2D title. Excellent movie.

Were your codes used or unused and do they care?

My DVD was unrecognized, had to use a competing service to get it in my collection.

It's not new though. It's been on there for some time. I took it in store months ago when my disc wouldn't read.

The Jurassic Park codes were unused however the Despicable Me code had been previously redeemed and Universal exchanged it for 3 new DC codes last year and they finally exchanged it for a UV code last week. It appears they don't care, or don't check, to see if the code has already been redeemed.

Every time I've tried requesting a new code in the past Universal would end up sending me another DC only code. I recently noticed those code(s) would no longer work on Universal's web site so I decided to try once more. They responded back to me on 27 Jan 14 but I missed the email until just now. This time I was successful in redeeming the code for an HDX UV copy!

Don't know if this will help but here's what I used in the contact support form:
Thank you so much! I tried this and it worked for me as well!!

I just got my UV code from Universal for Despicable Me as well. Took 2 days from the time I emailed them until I had my code. I had to send them pictures of the front, back & discs inside the case before they would send it to me, but I had no problem doing so. So I don't know if it was because it was an iTunes code I was trying to get transferred to UV that they made me send the pics or what. I got a new UV code from them yesterday for "American Gangster" since the original only gave me SD, and they didn't make me send pics for that. But either way it's nice to be able to add this one to my UV collection now.

BTW...I had a couple other Universal titles in my UV collection that I redeemed a couple years ago but only got the SD copies that I was going to try to get new codes for. Anyway, before I emailed them I tried re-entering the codes on Universal's website yesterday and it let me redeem the movies again, even though I already redeemed the codes a while back. And this time it gave me the HDX copies. The 2 movies that worked again for me were "Bridesmaids" and "Babe". So if you have any SD copies of Universal movies in your library and still have the UV sheets, try re-entering the codes and it might let you get the HDX copy too.

I had the same experience, they asked me for pictures of the front, back and discs, which I sent them. Took 2 days total for me too. Well worth it!
