    Re: UltraViolet Launched updated website

Mine isn't fixed yet, but I submitted a complaint through the "Contact Us" link, and this was the response:

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Ultraviolet Customer Support.

The UltraViolet website is undergoing a few upgrades. We are aware of this issue and hope to have it resolved soon. You will still be able to see all your films within the appropriate media providers. Eg: Flixster, VUDU etc.

I do apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process,

    UltraViolet Customer Care
    http://www.uvvu.com
EDIT: I checked on Flixster, and my Vudu UV movies are showing up there, so they're correct, UV functionality is working, it's just their site that is broken.

I received an email from UV stating that they are aware of the problem and they are working on it.

LOL if only Flixster worked any better for me. VUDU has always been consistently good at displaying my collection, no matter how large. I wonder if Flixster will start working better once uvvu.com fixes their awful, terrible, dispicable, horrible, loser service.

Oh, I totally agree. I only went to the Flixster web site to see if the UV info was being properly propagated to the UV partners, despite the UV web site display issues. I avoid that crapfest of a web site whenever I can. (Flixster's crapfest, not UV's. )

I agree with you regarding Vudu being able to display your collection much faster than anyone else out there. I am always telling everyone else they are too slow compared to Vudu and requesting them to improve the response time.

Now if Vudu would give us a way to organize our collection to make it faster and easier to find a title in our library...sorry, I will leave that dead horse alone.

New message. "We are experiencing multi-hour delays loading Libraries. Only some of your movies and TV shows are shown below. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience".

That's much more helpful, they should have had an error notice up sooner.

Ironic, though, because before I only saw 16 items, but now I can see about half (112 out of ~230, although some are duplicates).

                  Re: UltraViolet Launched updated website

My collection is still at 16 (should be ~700-800, with dupes and tv seasons broken down to episodes).

I noticed on the home page that UV is now considered in beta. Does anyone know if this is just the updated website in beta or are they considering the whole program in beta now?

Mine is still at 16 as well and it keeps defaulting to Australia instead of the US. Their site seems to have some serious problems.

Still just 16 for me. Did you happen to try out the "trashcan" feature to see if it will delete your duplicates?

I tried the trashcan feature on several of my 'freebies' that I didn't want, and it didn't delete them. Most likely another bug in the beta testing they will need to fix.

Thanks. Since that was really the only feature I was looking forward to using on the new site I guess it doesn't matter that my library is broken. My movies still work and I used my free $10 credit that MGO gave me and the movie I bought instantly transferred to Vudu so there's technically nothing wrong with my UV library except for the fact I can't see it.

I used the Trash can for a duplicate I had and it did remove it. I had a SD version from CinemaNow and HDX from Vudu. Now instead of showing a check next to both SD and HDX only HDX is marked in my Vudu library.

I'm now showing 80 titles which is less than 10% of my UV collection. It appears this new site doesn't update in real time unlike the old site.

EDIT: Now up to 256 titles (or 16 pages) ... and now back to 16 titles (1 page).

If there was someone keeping score on the most laughably bad web launches, they have to add this to the list. I literally LOL'd when I saw the 'multiple hours to load libraries'. I envisioned it must now be a physical librarian now going and getting your titles off the shelves and loading them up.
At my previous employer, everyone on the team would be fired if we put up a web site this unusable. I like how they call it 'beta' to try to get around that doesn't work if you already had a site up and took that down, instead of launching this as a test site.
