Saw that as well. Not sure what's included in this update, but it didn't fix the audio drop-outs. Given the current Vudu trend, the update likely broke something else.

Same here, downloaded the update and figured it HAD to be a fix for this audio stutter and was very disapointed. Still happens but maybe 25% better.

I?m, having an issue with despicable me3 audio as well, I have several UHD movies and only have a sound playback with this movie. When I switch to the HDX version I get sound but when it comes to the UHD version I get no sound. My tv is a Samsung Q7C and it?s audio source is a Denon 6300H. As I stated I have issues on other atmos UHD movies. I just rechecked my playback and found out it?s not even playing back in UHD, I found this out playing the UHD version of King Arthur.

I applied the new vudu update to my 65c6 and still have the audio dropouts, but maybe not quite as bad.

I also checked my 55c6 and it to has the audio dropouts on UHD vudu streams. So that is 2 out of 2 for my TV's.

Strangely i was not prompted to install a Vudu update on my 55c6 like i was on the 65c6 yesterday.

Edit - The second time I launched vudu on my 55c6 it prompted me for the update - same issue though......

There are quite a few folks on the LG forums also reporting that they have the issue. Based on the post by T100sr5 sounds like it's not restricted to LG (Audio issues) since they're on a Samsung..

Anyone try VUDU on Apple TV 4K, Roku, etc.?

Vudu does not support 4K on Apple TV. If they did, I honestly wouldn't even care that the LG app is broken. Maybe one day.

I have read this thread over the past 45 days and am sorry some are having issues. I have not had this issue and I wonder if it is related to very specific movies in UHD?
I do not have IT, or Dunkirk. Are either of these Dolby Vision as well as Atmos? Is the problem strictly with non DV movies, just 4K UHD only with or without Atmos?
My 2016 OLE55DB6P does not pass Atmos through ARC (and never will according to LG) to my Onkyo SR-TX555, so whether I use ARC or optical, all I get is "Dolby D EX 6.1", which I set my Onkyo to output as Dolby Surround which comes through my ATMOS speaker setup as 5.0.2 (no sub). I am not using a soundbar, just 2 JBL and 5 Klipsch speakers. I just tested it again in both Optical and ARC for UHD Bladerunner, Atomic Blonde and Sully. All 3 are Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and no sound issues just like before the recent update. Even though I'm not getting Atmos, I am still very pleased with the surround sound in these even though I'm not getting the height or spatial aspect I do with Atmos on a 4k disc from player to AVR. I am in the USA and have Xfinity 100MB cable service and send it from router via ethernet directly to my LG OLED. There are 66 posts on this thread so certainly some are having issues, I hope another data point might help.

This is starting to sound like a home visit kinda thing if it?s not able to be replicated in office with the amount of people experiencing this reported online.

Any thoughts on corporate offering up some sort of credits for this? The collection of UHD I have is unwatchable.

Has anyone tested Netflix titles on the LG to see if the same issue appears?

                    Atmos is Atmos.

If there is a bug in the LG firmware, it should impact both VUDU and Netflix streams equally, as both use Atmos over a DD+ base.

Dolby Vision/UHD titles work perfectly on my C6?s Netflix app. This is a Vudu issue.

I'd like to go back to my previous thought about the problem relating to certain studios. I began testing more movies. I'm playing them for 3 minutes to see what happens. Films from Universal such as Battleship, Warcraft, and Jason Bourne are working fine. Atomic Blonde from Focus Features is working fine. Paramount titles work... Ghost in the Shell, Baywatch. From Lionsgate I'm having no problem with Power Rangers.

Films from Sony Pictures are messing up. Roman J. Israel, Esq., Only the Brave, The Dark Tower. They have the issue. Warner Bros has the issue. IT, Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, Sully, Dunkirk, The Conjuring, etc.

I have no idea if this theory holds water. Anyone else that can test some of the same from each?

Interesting. I think you might be on to something. I'll check my Universal, Paramount, and Lionsgate UHD titles tonight to see if they work.

LG C6 here. Just watched Justice League and have the same issue with the audio garbling every few moments. Add that to the list of WB films. Anything being done, yet?

Well, I don't think it has anything to do with what studio released the film. mother! (Paramount) was upgraded to UHD at Vudu yesterday, and it has the audio drop-out issue. So does Justice League. So those are two more UHD purchases that are entirely unwatchable for me.

Honestly, the most frustrating thing is that Vudu has decided to go completely silent on this issue. It's almost like they know the issue is unfixable but they don't want to come out and say it. If that's the case, then just tell us that so I can begin the process of demanding refunds. Otherwise, why aren't you willing to work with those of us in this thread who are willing and able to provide valuable data regarding the audio drop-outs? I'm sorry to be such a pest, but I'm not going to let this problem fade into obscurity. This is/was my primary method of viewing UHD content, and it's broken. And I'm not about to spend thousands of dollars to replace my 1-year old TV just to get a working Vudu app. Jake might think that this issue only affects "a very small number of customers," but 5 pages in this thread and countless other posts on AVSForum would say otherwise.

I can also confirm the intermittent audio with mother!
