Yeah, that sucks. We have a great library of titles going in UV/Vudu , which also includes TV purchases as well.

Accessing my library from Amazon, itunes and Google is absolutely the right direction. UV has obviously been floundering for years without the support of those companies.

Nobody said TV shows weren't in the plan?

If they are going to go down this road, and they are, they're going to have to standardize on a few things ( free upgrades to 4k, 4k pricing, HDR standard ).

Why would anyone buy from Samsung ( not sure they are involved, but using them as an example to prove my point ) if you won't get dolby vision? Why would anyone buy from Vudu if 4k is more expensive? Why would anyone buy from Google if you don't get free upgrades to 4k?

You wouldn't buy from a substandard retailer. That's why this is great. It makes a more competitive marketplace and should drive costs down and make these companies offer different things to get you to buy from them. Think of it like buying a physical movie from a store. Doesn't matter what store you buy it from the disc will play in your player but each store has their own sales and perks to try to entice customers. If each platform doesn't offer some type of competition on things like 4k or dolby vision they'll get left behind.

Re: The Official Movies Anywhere Thread

I agree with so many of you. This is much more complicated and has just added another platform to use. I bought all my movies on Vudu and Amazon. I simply bought movies on Amazon because they were not available anywhere else, now those won't port over.

Not all of my Vudu movies are going over- I'm not just talking about Paramount, Lionsgate, MGM, or Weinstein- but there are many other smaller retailers - Wolfe, Vivendi, WellGo, Etc.

I'm still hoping that all these retailers will go to MA so I can have one location, but for right now I'm sticking with Vudu. The thing they should really tell consumers is, "If you only have major studio movies, then this is good for you".

This is kind of a disappointment, but I'm going to wait and see what happens. I am happy that I get so many new features though.

So I was able to connect my accounts and i'm not seeing anything transferring between the two as of yet. Been about 20 minutes and nada. Interested to see how itunes handles my copies from Vudu if it insta upgrades to 4K.

For the people asking about TV Shows... do you expect them to port? I don't. They would have picked a better name IMO, than MOVIES Anywhere. That alone tells me there's little to no chance for TV Shows. Maybe UV will become the home for TV Shows? Who knows. TV Anywhere? LOL

My vudu connected, and some MA movies (the free ones I just got) did go over to Vudu, but not from Vudu to MA. I assume it'll take time with all the new connections.

My Vudu titles are slowly appearing in MA...but I noticed something odd.

Nowhere on the individual movie pages does it indicate what format you own. For Guardians of the Galaxy 2, it says nothing about my UHD copy....and for 'Boiling Point' (something only offered through Vudu in SD, and I only own in SD) doesn't say anything about the format of that movie.

Are all my SD titles getting upconverted to HD?
