Re: The Official Movies Anywhere Thread

I noticed my copy of Aliens (Special Edition) hasn't ported over to MA. Anyone else have this one?

Re: The Official Movies Anywhere Thread

So upon closer look. My VUDU collection did port to all 3 other retailers.

However, 3 of my free movies did not migrate into VUDU(but did everywhere else).

As well as the 2 Itunes titles I have (they ported everywhere else as well)

My only MA eligible title from my small Amazon collection did not port to Vudu either (again it ported everywhere else)

So I'm not sure if the solution is to unlink and relink Vudu but that message about future purchases not showing on MA really scares me.

No, it's within the app. It looks just like the iTunes help page regarding this issue, except that section isn't there.

          Wow!

I just redeemed the SD code for The Monuments Men directly on the Movies Anywhere site.

All my services, including Vudu, show that I own it in HD.

Re: The Official Movies Anywhere Thread

Is there any chance that we can expect a UV carryover of non-VUDU purchased movies in the future? I converted several MA-qualified titles through Flixster?s Disc-to-Digital service years ago when they didn?t work in VUDU?s software.

My Disney Sister Act 2 ported over to vudu, amazon and ma from g?ogle, but Sister Act did not. Strange.

Also, my hubby had previously redeemed Wonder Woman via Instawatch on his Vudu account,so the code redemption number for the bluray did not work for my account. I was able to redeem wonder woman through Movies Anywhere with the digital code last night, and it ported to all sites except Vudu.

I found a few more that didn't port over to MA:

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Extended Edition)

                          Thanks for letting me know.

Looks like I have a few that didn't port over. With a large collection, it's hard to tell exactly how many and which titles. Hopefully they'll all transfer eventually.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition) is listed at the Movies Anywhere website. But it doesn't have the MA symbol at Vudu. And it doesn't transfer over to MA.

So, has anyone else contacted Movies Anywhere regarding the edited encode of Wreck-It Ralph? I sent them an email and message them on Facebook. I don't see anyone else talking about this issue, and it's something that shouldn't be looked over, otherwise they will just find ways to keep doing this to our movies...

They mentioned that most studios gave up on Ultraviolet. When did this happen because up until a few days ago on my last redemption my movies redeemed perfectly fine at UV.

Next concern if Ultraviolet goes away and MA takes over since MA doesn't appear to have TV series I assume we will lose those series as UV is the digital locker while Vudu just holds and allows playback of what's in that locker. This has me very concerned as I have about 50 TV series some complete series covering 10 or more seasons like The X Files and Burn Notice. If UV fails I assume we lose some very expensive series.

I'm very concerned that if UV fails that anybody whose linked to my account our movies won't share when they buy a movie. My nephew and I have quickly built over 2,500 movies and TV series in about three years time by having linked accounts. Be ****ed if UV fails and MA doesn't allow linked members purchases to be added to my account as my nephew and I share whose going to buy the latest releases so we don't both buy the same movie.

My last concern is with DMA going away what will happen with Disney Rewards as I have over 5,000 points but nothing really interests me to buy. I hold on to my points because every so often Disney will add a few Blurays I'm interested in from time to time but if they go away then what happens to my reward points or am I stuck buying stuff I don't want or need to deplete my points before Disney Rewards goes away too.
Valid concerns of mine as well. I have a feeling we're going to lose the ability to share with up to 5 people. It's Di$ney after all that we are talking about. They want BOTH you, your nephew , and 4 other friends to buy the movie instead of 1 person buying and sharing!

Missing TV stuff is a bummer too.
