Pretty sure those additional logins are for the MA account only, they do not allow you to link additional vudu accounts like a separate UV user allows you to do.

If I am wrong, please let me know.

I merged my vudu with moviesanywhere the day it went live. Everything seemed to transfer fine into MA and iTunes. Yesterday, i noticed more than half of my movies disappeared from iTunes and I checked MA, they were gone too! Basically, anything that wasn?t added directly by me into my vudu account was gone. Flixster movies, vudu and uv movies added by friend were gone. Our UV accounts merged years ago. If I buy a movie, he gets it, if he buys one, I get it. I love it. According to vudu, I OWN IT! So now with half of them gone in MA, is it just a glitch or is it permanent? Like if i search a movie on MA I own on vudu: click buy on vudu, it sends me to vudu and it say title already purchased! Anyone else having this issue. I've gone from loving MA to being extremely disappointed! I'm gonna just stick to vudu, I'm not double dipping 100's of movies for MA.

To be fair do Vudu, they didnt create this mess. This is Disney. Disney could have joined UV and everything would have been awesome. Then the other retailers would have eventually come to UV.

Same here... I've been a huge proponent of digital and between the four services own around 5,000 movies, but this and the 4K nightmare the studios have created is really starting to sour me on all of it. I suspect VUDU is doing some tinkering in the background which is causing UV titles purchased on secondary accounts to be blocked from MA, because no amount of linking and relinking seems to be bringing them back.

I've got a support ticket in so we'll see what happens, but I'm not terribly optimistic at this point.

This does not jive with VUDU's official word on the matter. This is what I got in response to support ticket I opened and I think several other users have received the same exact response:

"Movies Anywhere movie transfers work a little differently than UltraViolet or Disney Movies Anywhere did previously. Any UltraViolet and Movies Anywhere compatible titles obtained directly from Vudu will export to both linked services. Imported content from UltraViolet will also export to Movies Anywhere as long as all services remain linked and the title is Movies Anywhere compatible; however, titles importing to Vudu from Movies Anywhere will not export to UltraViolet, even if it is an UltraViolet compatible title."

                Felipe,

Just so you know, this is NOT what phone reps at Movies Anywhere are telling their callers. When I redeemed Annabelle Creation on Movies ANywhere and saw that it didn't port to UV, I called Movies Anywhere. The phone rep at Movies Anywhere told me that it should port from Movies Anywhere to Vudu (which it did) and that Vudu should "act as a bridge" (her exact words) to port the movie over the UV.

You say that that is not what it's designed for (and I'm not saying you're wrong), but there us a clear communications breakdown somewhere seeing as Movies Anywhere phone reps are saying that that is indeed what it's supposed to do.

According to Movies ANywhere phone support, titles with both MA and UV access that are redeemed on the MA site are supposed to port to Vudu and Vudu is supposed to 'act as a bridge' and port them to UV.

I suspect from the get-go that Disney did not like the idea of library sharing on UV/VUDU. But once Google Play and iTunes added their own versions of library sharing a few years ago Disney realized it was a feature that wouldn't go away. In spite of bringing together the 4 biggest online merchants Movies Anywhere still does not provide a 'direct' way of sharing your movie library.

I thought MA was supposed to bring all libraries and providers together and make the digital world of ownership easier and less complicated. This does the exact opposite!! Now we have maintain 2 libraries?

How is this better for the consumer? I see ZERO advantage to MA. It only complicates.

I agree, it has just made everything even more complicated. I'm glad I don't share libraries because that would add to the complication.

I disagree, as Family Sharing is allowed on iTunes and Google Play, including Disney movies.

                                Never heard of it.

Edit: just looked it up on Google. It says "Have a valid credit card to use as the family payment method." Does that mean only one person in the family can buy titles?

With Ultraviolet/Vudu , I share with 5 friends ( not family ). When one of my friends buys a movie or redeems a UV code, it shows up in all our libraries, no matter who buys it. Does Family Sharing work the same way? Or is only the family "leader" allowed to buy movies to share out to the library?
