Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

Just tried to add a bunch a movies to take advantage of the 50% off deal. Unfortunately only 5 out of 13 worked. Here are the ones that did not work on my PC using the new software:

      Crash - DVD
      Zoolander - DVD
      The Big Lebowski - DVD
      The Impossible - DVD
      Pretty in Pink - DVD
      Rear Window - Blu
      Vertigo - Blu
      The Birds - Blu

I'm going to try these on my mac tonight. I will also try them on the old software on another PC if I can.

I haven't tried adding any new discs, but I probably fall into this category, as after the "upgrade" my entire cart went missing. Given it was about $860 worth of product (and months of effort), I'd rather like to have it back in VUDU2Go as it should be.

Any thoughts on this? Win7 64-bit. Whatever the current version of VUDU2Go that came out today or recently is. 2.0.7, I think?

So, is there a resolution for this, somehow? Where do we go from here?
I had the same issue as well, really hope this is resolved soon, I had alot of titles in my queue too

Also, in the post above, Zoolander DVD redeemed for me in HDX with no issues tonight, so not sure why its not working for you. Is your version a US retail version? (Black and Green cover art?)

I tried to re-install the old version (since I had the file), but it simply states to upgrade on the Disc-to-Digital page, and won't detect discs. Hope this gets fixed soon, like today/tomorrow!
We are working on the issue of previous items in cart disappear. It should be fixed as soon as we can.

              This version has:
              - some mapping bug fixes
              - Public supporting: 50% discount for >= 10 items, disc/drive legitimate verification (some region free drive may have issue with DVD conversion as error reading disc)
              - Mac OS X support

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

One suggested improvement I would like to see with the In Home D2D app is the ability to select "Not my disc" when a disc is incorrectly mapped to a title that you already own.

If you don't already own the title that it's incorrectly mapped to then you have that option but that option isn't available if you already own that title and instead you receive the following error:

This title is already in your library at the highest available resolution.

I have tried to convert my DVD for "The Money Train", however the D2D software thinks the movie is "Anaconda"? Just wanted to let someone know to look into it.

As a side note, I travel a ton and having access now to my movie collection in my hotel rooms through Vudu is fantastic. If I bring an HDMI cable with my laptop, I just plug it into the hotel's tv and I'm good to go. So much better than Law & Order reruns

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

                    ERRORS:

It didn't recognize "Se7en" Blu Ray (AKA "Seven") even thought it's listed as an eligible D2D title.

Dirty Harry (Blu Ray) shows up as Dead Pool (Blu Ray) - I reported it, and purchased it anyway

                    And here's the biggie:

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Blu Ray) -- shows up as "LOTR: The Return of the King" (Blu Ray)

This last one was particularly annoying because (A) I already had a "digital copy" code which had expired and (B) it did recognize LOTR 2 - Two Towers as well as LOTR 3 - Return of the King, but I didn't want to convert those, if I couldn't convert LOTR 1 at the same time. Surely there are lots of LOTR fans here, it's pretty much on the list of any tech geek's favorite films list... I'm surprised VUDU hasn't fixed this one yet!

Along these same lines, I would LOVE it if I put in a disc that is not yet eligible for D2D, that the system remembers I inserted it and (optionally, with a checkbox) either converts it for me in the future when it IS available, or maybe alerts me via email, so I'll know to try again.

Has anyone found a way to get their cart transferred after updating? I'm still getting the issue that my items in are in another cart when I was trying to finish adding my DVD collection.

When I download the disc to digital app to my pc it tells me the exe file is corrupt. Is anyone else having this problem? How can I get a good copy of the exe file so I can use the program? Thanks for the help. N

there needs to be a better way to resolve the "not my disc" issue. when i add what title it really is i never hear back from vudu. i usually just go to walmart and explain to the employee how to do D2D. usually it's not a big deal but right now if i do that then i'm paying double since i miss out on the promo.

I just noticed that House Party 1-3 has been added to Vudu and is UV compatible and also a Warner.. It recognized the DVD's but is not eligible to convert to SD on the app.
