Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I was just asked to update Adobe Air. Does anyone know if this might have corrected all the "Not Recognized" or recognized incorrectly bugs?

Edit: I guess not, the first disc I tried got the "Unable to identify this disc" error so I don't think that they've updated the app even after all this time. I hate how slow Vudu is with this....

Also, the in-store D2D is also not working for me because when I add a movie there, the movie doesn't show up on my list. I called tech support and they say that they can see it on their end but I'm not able to see it.

With the 40 or so discs I've converted, I've only had issues with:
    • Cube: The Lions Gate Signature Series re-release DVD isn't recognized by the system.
    • Empire Records: Special Fan Remix Edition comes up as the original theatrical cut. Looking at VUDU, it looks like the extended cut isn't offered on the service.
    • Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie: The 2008 Universal Studios Home Entertainment re-release DVD isn't recognized by the system.
    • Overnight Delivery: The DVD isn't recognized by the system.
    • Real Genius: The DVD (which happens to be dual sided-single layered) isn't recognized by the system.
    • Spice World: The DVD (which happens to be dual sided-single layered) isn't recognized by the system.

Presumed Innocent/Frantic double pack doesn't acknowledge either movie as being on the disc.

Anybody else have an issue trying to add The Untouchables blu-ray? First, it wouldn't read it, then after a couple tries, it finally reads it but as a dvd, making me have to pay $5 for the hdx copy.

For the most part the Vudu to go works well.

    Some problems:

    Blu Rays

2001: A Space Odyssey (comes up Barry Lyndon)
    Casino
Cirque de Soliel: Journey of Man
    Cirque de Soliel: Worlds Apart
    Inglorious Basterds
Jumper (Come up as Live Free or Die Hard)
The Matrix: 10 year anniversary edition (part of a complete Blu Ray set)
The Matrix: Revolutions (part of a complete Blu Ray set)
    Taken (comes up the Marine)
    Transformers: Dark of the Moon

    The DVD's, so far are:

    The Abyss (Special Edition)
    The Departed
The Game (the one is a double side disc with standard screen and wide screen- i've tried both sides and won't recognize either)
Blade Runner (I have a multi-set DVD version of all cuts but only the Tinal Cut DVD loads)
    Cleopatra
    Die Hard (first one)
    Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
    Lethal Weapon 2
    Lethal Weapon 3
    Leon: The Professional (international edition)
Screamers (the one is a double side disc with standard screen and wide screen- i've tried both sides and won't recognize either)
Star Gaze: Hubble's View of the Universe
    Van Wilder

I decided to take your advice and play it. It's most definitely the wrong version

Yeah, I know, but I'll keep trying until Aug 31, to get the discount. I only started all this about a month ago, but I see that you've been reporting bugs since February. I also have the same problem with "The Fly 2" which keeps coming up as "The Fly" so they haven't fixed that one yet...it's been 6 months!

Daredevil (Director's Cut) Blu Ray comes up as Theatrical.

Twixt (Blu Ray): Manually verify (nothing shocking there. It was just released today. I'm surprised it's already eligible for d2d)

Gamer 3D Blu Ray: Manually Verify.

Just so you know, I converted Midway using a DVD on Flixster (I only opted for SD). It works well using Vudu on my Xbox, but is listed as unsupported on PC, and is also not supported on Android. I have a case open on that. (Someone in Vudu customer care tried to tell me that PC and Android support are somehow linked, but I found out that's not the case, nor is it a license issue...Ultraviolet really does mean anytime, anywhere, on any device. If Vudu has the rights to a film, and they do for Midway, then they should have it for all devices.). It seems to be an encoding issue on Vudu's end...I hope to find out soon.

I had the same issue with Girl Next Door, would not read with Vudu to Go so redeemed using Cinemanow. On vudu it shows the 1952 version on Cinemanow it is the 2004 version.
